Understanding Mobile Access

Also make a habit of reviewing every few months. Android's permission manager lists, for the camera, microphone or location, the apps and sites that have access. Remove whatever is no longer needed. If the camera or microphone indicator lights up when you have not started a cam2cam, close the app concerned and check its rights.

Managing app data

In Android settings, each app's page lets you see its permissions, clear its cache and erase its data. In the browser, a private browsing window avoids keeping the history and the session. On a lent or shared phone, log out after each use and hide notification previews on the lock screen.

A good mobile experience depends on the connection, a few player and browser settings, and a simple way of organising your favourite rooms.

If the video player offers a choice of quality, lower it on a weak connection to avoid interruptions and raise it again on Wi-Fi. Close unnecessary tabs, which use memory and data in the background. Staying Safe on Mobile

Mobile safety rests on three pillars: accepting the site's age-verification step, refusing doubtful downloads and knowing whom to report a problem to.

The phone brings together messaging, banking and social media: an incident there has wider consequences than on a dedicated computer. The following rules limit these risks.

Confirming your age

For access from France, law no. 2024-449 of 21 May 2024 (SREN) strengthens Arcom's powers to enforce age verification on sites offering pornographic content. We could not confirm which method Stripchat applies to visitors from France; the screen displayed on the site is what counts, on mobile as on a computer. Never send an identity document outside that official screen, and be wary of apps that promise access "without verification".

Avoiding malicious downloads

• Leave installation from unknown sources switched off.
• Ignore pop-ups saying "your phone is infected" or "update your player".
• Do your Stripchat login only from the official address, with a unique password.
• Keep Android, the browser and Google Play Protect, or your device's security tool, active and up to date.
